Converting Audio to Digital Formats

Need audio for your website? Or to preserve it for posterity? Or just so you can listen to it again? We can convert audio recorded on formats including cassette, reel tape, LP's, video or digital formats including DAT, CD, minidisc to whatever you need, including .wav and MP3. We can deliver them to you by all media including internet and email. Prices from $45 per transfer.

Recording & Producing Your Audio
(All prices include GST)

Whatever your event, we can record it; music or talk. Your concert, your gig, your show. Your seminar, public lecture, debate, speech night, presentation, forum, your entire conference. At your venue or here in our studios. We can provide it to you in whatever format you choose: Audio CD, MP3, .wav files or other digital data, and we can email, post or deliver your audio to you - it's your choice.

Recording at your location
Base fee: $160, includes liaison and administration, set up onsite
Recordist: $55 per hour
Example: recording your 2 hour talk or concert; approx $270

Recording at Radio Adelaide
We've recorded everything from live music to meditation CD's, from soundtracks for gymnastics routines to, of course, radio interviews, programs and podcasts
$143 per hour, including producer (minimum 1 hour)

Post Production
Simple editing and mastering included in the base fee
Further post production, for example creation of multiple files, separate tracks, effects, content editing: $143 per hour
Example: From our recording of your annual school concert, you would like a master CD with each piece as a separate track and excluding two items. The original recording was 78 minutes long. Editing and mastering will take 1 - 2 hours.

Delivery
$22 per Audio CD or .wav data CD supplied
$22 per MP3 emailed, FTP or supplied on CD

Band/Music Recording

Radio Adelaide broadcasts bands and ensembles every week. One of the first things many musicians notice when they visit is our studio facilities. Often this develops into inquiries of the possibility of recording here.

Well, that possibility certainly exists. Just think what you may be able to achieve here, off-air, with a little more time, effort and assistance from our engineers, at agreeable rates!

A community radio station is like a cultural terminal of ideas and sounds, which means there's no better place to work with people who are attuned to what you wish to accomplish. We have experience mixing and recording practically every genre of music, and every logistical situation from solo artists to orchestras.

Because we're so busy with other aspects of community radio, our studios are only available after hours; but we've found that, with most people working day jobs and with parking etc so difficult to find in the city during daytime our operational methods mesh with your creative ones perfectly.

Every job is different, and all artists have different needs. Don't think that you're committing to the making of an entire album with us from start to finish (though we're happy to!). For example, you may wish to record here but take your project elsewhere for mixing. Many musicians record at home - perhaps you need the drums, guitars and vocals recorded here but can add the 'line level' instruments yourself later. Maybe you're just making a quick demo, or overdubbing a single instrument. Anything from basic stereo to elaborate multitracking, 'dry sound' or crammed with effects, can be achieved in a way which will suit your working style and your budget.

Studio Rates
Our studios are booked initially as a three hour block at $330 (Extra hours or part of @ $110).
We take cash, EFTPOS, Mastercard, Visa or cheque.
Payment required in advance.

Studio Availability
Our recording and mixing studios are available for booking between 6pm - 5am Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun and from 8pm Wed & Thur.

Up to 16 tracks can be recorded simultaneously.

Mixdown format delivery can be on DAT tape, audio CD-R or data disc in most file standards. Session tapes (unmixed tracks) also available for an additional fee on Data CD/DVD. (CD / DVD included in costs, DAT tape $11)
