Live Music Fest is an annual celebration of diversity in live music performance. A huge range of local, national and international artists take over our studios to deliver 6 days of Live Music Radio. We also cross live to Adelaide's favourite live music venues to bring you some of the weeks best gigs. Virtually all musical styles get a look-in, from African dance grooves to local metal beats; indie pop-rock to string quartets.

This year's Fest features 75 live acts and more than 300 musicians. Touring artists include brooding singer songwriter Ned Collette (Melbourne), cabaret star and Peter Allen Variety Performer of the Year (06) Wayne Scott Kermond (Sydney), desert alt folk outfit Tecoma (Alice Springs) and compelling violinist from the Grainger Quartet, Natsuko Yoshimoto (Sydney).

Local stars include Jazz groove outfit Kubrick, Susie Keynes of Fruit, Nunga reggae band, Kineman Karma, Celtic melodies from Siobhan Owen, Hidden Village's experimental electronica, Highlights from the Elder Conservatorium production of Cosi Fan Tutte and the Johnny Cash Tribute playing..Johnny Cash!

He is a legendary world music icon, as lead singer, songwriter and finger-tipped, soul-filled guitar player. Distinguished by his deep, gravely voice that seems to come from the depths of his spirit and a huge talent for songs that reflect on the daily life and struggles of the people of his homeland, Mtukudzi can rightly be said to be not only Zimbabwe’s, but one of Africa’s greatest musical artists. With a career that has spanned almost three decades and produced over forty original albums, most of them best-sellers, ‘Tuku’ is now coming to Australia! Anouvong (flute) and Amanda (clarinet) are currently completing the Bachelor of Music Performance at the Elder Conservatorium. They perform regularly with the Elder Conservatorium's Symphony and Wind Orchestras, where Anouvong plays principal. Career highlights for Anouvong include the University's May Gepp Pont Scholarship (07), the Flute Society of S.A's David Cubbin Memorial prize (06) and first place in both the Adelaide Eisteddfod’s Woodwind, Brass, Percussion Concerto section and the Open Flute Sonata Section. Amanda has toured with Co. Opera and performed at the Bundaleer Forest Weekend. Amanda also enjoys a teaching career.

13 year old Siobhan is a classically trained singer whose pure soprano voice has been described as “hauntingly beautiful” – especially when singing Celtic songs. She holds Music Scholarships at St Aloysius College and with the St Francis Xavier Cathedral Choir, is a frequent winner of Vocal Eisteddfods and a regular soloist in concerts, recitals and musical theatre productions.

Last year he won an award from the Recitals Australia for his performance of Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky. In 1998, he won the Junior Piano Concerto competition in the Adelaide Eisteddfod for his performance of Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No 2, and also was the South Australian state finalist in the National Yamaha Piano Competition in 1999 held in Sydney. He also holds a Licentiate Diploma in Piano from the AMEB, and was awarded the state prize for Associate Diploma candidates in 1999. In 2002, he performed in a concert of newly composed music in the Barossa Music Festival.
